September 6, 2007 "Yotlinx produced a brilliant week-end sailing event for the start of September and we continue to crew Aurai with great introductions from David Morrish's site! A late enquiry from an enthusiastic novice J, and a cancellation to my own non-sailing plans meant we could shape a crew together for what was promising to be ideal if slightly testing winds. Aurai has been doing a lot of wind assisted motoring lately in F2/3 breezes and while her name is from the Greek for 'mythological nieces to the four winds' we do like the uncles to blow a bit! K has endured weeks of driving down from Suffolk, helped with maintenance and seen very little "keen" sailing to match his undoubted experience. While my wife and I formalised our credentals with some own boat RYA tuition and made successive trips from the Medway to Brightlingsea, we too wanted to see the weather improve for sailing.Home More General Stories Search News Story Submissions Comments (0)No comments. |
